DeepPond Kim, originally hailing from South Korea, is an acclaimed artist holding an MFA in painting from Pratt Institute and a BFA from Sungshin Women’s University. Recently honored as a 2024 Bronx Museum AIM Fellow, DeepPond's artistic journey has been marked by prestigious accolades including the 1st AHL Foundation Artist Fellowship and recognition as one of the top 8 finalists worldwide for the MTV RE: DEFINE Award. Notable exhibitions include a solo booth at the SPRING/BREAK Art Fair 2022 in NYC and group showcases at esteemed venues such as Space 776, Equity Gallery LES, and "B" Dry Goods Brooklyn. Her participation in the Governor’s Island Art Fair 2019 further underscores her versatile artistic footprint.
In addition to her visual artistry, DeepPond Kim is a dynamic presence in the realm of performance art, having captivated audiences at renowned festivals worldwide including the Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival, Gwangju International Performance Art Festival in Korea, OPEN SPACE “Survival” Festival in Berlin, and esteemed galleries across Europe.
